Job Description: Incident Recovery Lead (IRR Lead)
Location: Remote
About the Role
As an Incident Recovery Lead, you will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing security measures during incident recovery. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring recovery processes are efficient, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Incident Response and Recovery, with the ability to lead complex technical engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and act as the primary security contact for clients and stakeholders.
Plan and prioritize daily and weekly tasks based on business needs while maintaining security best practices.
Coordinate and communicate with the Project Management Office (PMO) regarding tasks, status updates, issues, and escalations.
Promote and enforce industry best practices in incident response, cybersecurity analysis, case management, and knowledge management.
Ensure overall security viability, manageability, and operational stability of all IT functions and services being recovered or restored.
Actively participate in hands-on incident response and recovery activities, including technical troubleshooting and restoration efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT information security.
Proven hands-on experience in Incident Response and Recovery in complex environments.
Strong technical and consulting skills combined with project management capabilities.
Experience with security and risk frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Ability to develop complex Incident Recovery standards and procedures for global technical environments.
Proven experience in creating Disaster Recovery and Incident Recovery plans.
Advanced understanding of cybersecurity Incident Recovery concepts, with deep expertise in at least two areas.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and data analysis.
Strong communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience assessing current environments and customer needs in similar roles.
