Munich / Kiel | 24-month contract | 40 hours/week | 60% Home Office | Start: 01.10.2026

Salary: €55,000 – €92,000 gross per year

The exact salary will depend on your level of experience and technical background:
Junior: €55,000 – €65,000
Mid-Level: €65,000 – €78,000
Senior: €78,000 – €92,000
The Opportunity
We are currently supporting a leading technology company in the defence and communications sector with the appointment of an experienced NCS System Integration Engineer (m/f/d).

You will work on the integration, configuration and testing of a complex Naval Communication System (NCS), contributing to both internal test infrastructure and customer-facing installations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a systems-focused engineer who enjoys fault analysis, automation, Linux/Windows administration and complex technical environments.

Your Responsibilities
Configure and test complex Naval Communication Systems using dedicated configuration tools
Integrate and install NCS systems within internal test facilities and at customer sites
Support the development and build-up of test system infrastructure
Analyse system and application log files to identify technical issues
Perform structured fault investigation and root-cause analysis
Manage defects and technical issues using Jira
Work closely with software development teams and external software suppliers
Provide clear, actionable technical feedback on system defects
Automate test environments and processes using CI/CD pipelines and scripting
Maintain and continuously improve test system infrastructure
Support the administration of servers, network switches and associated infrastructure
Your Technical Background
Strong fault analysis and troubleshooting capabilities
Linux and Windows administration
RPM package management
CI/CD and automation experience
GitLab and/or Jenkins
Artifactory
Ansible
Python scripting
Good understanding of IP networking
Hands-on experience with servers and network switches
Experience working with complex technical systems and test environments
Languages
Fluent German or English
Basic knowledge of the other language
