Opportunity: Senior Data Scientist – Trust & Safety (all genders)

A major player in Germany’s e-commerce space is strengthening its Trust & Safety efforts to protect millions of users. They’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist (all genders) to join a dynamic, cross-functional team focused on building robust ML systems that detect fraud and assess user risk in real time.

What You’ll Do

Develop and deploy scalable ML models for fraud detection and behavioral analysis
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Customer Service teams
Apply both classical and deep learning techniques (e.g., XGBoost, Random Forests, Transformers)
Promote fairness, transparency, and reproducibility in AI systems
Help define the future of Trust & Safety in digital marketplaces

What You Bring

5+ years of experience in developing and deploying ML models
Strong Python skills and proficiency with libraries like scikit-learn, PyTorch, and XGBoost
Hands-on experience with LLMs for classification and signal extraction
Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS and SageMaker) and production ML workflows
Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset

Bonus Points For

Prior experience in fraud detection or Trust & Safety domains
Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps/DataOps practices
Understanding of ethical and regulatory aspects of AI

Additional Requirements

5+ years of experience with AWS
5+ years of experience with PyTorch
5+ years of experience with Python
Available to start immediately
Comfortable working in a hybrid setup
